Dr. Lea R. Flowers, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, former Assistant Professor in the department of Counseling and Psychological Services at Georgia State University. She is the Director of Chrysalis Counseling Consultancy. Dr. Flowers has an expertise in organizational socialization, with a specific emphasis in the area of recruitment, retention and leadership development. Her consultation work and research is focused on enhancing the awareness, skills and knowledge of culturally competent practices for individuals of underrepresented populations. She has conducted numerous trainings and presented at international, national, regional and local professional conferences. She is a published author in numerous textbooks and journals. Dr. Flowers holds a Master's degree in Community and Human Services Counseling and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education both from the University of New Orleans. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Supervisor and Nationally Certified Counselor.
