William Sandonato, Jr., is currently a consultant and trainer working in the areas of organizational development and employment strategies for organizations serving people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. He is the Employment Consultant for the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities and, in that role, has been responsible for bringing Employment Outcomes Professional (EOP) training to employment specialists and vocational rehabilitation counselors throughout the state and nationally.
As Senior Vice president for Program Development for ServiceSource, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia he had responsibility for innovation and development of programs that address unmet needs of people with disabilities across ServiceSource’s national operations. Bill also served as President and CEO of Abilities, Inc. of Florida for 25 years. His leadership resulted in the development of innovative and entrepreneurial programs that met the mission and produced significant growth in revenue and reputation.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Rehabilitation Administration from the McLaren College of Business, University of San Francisco and is certified in counseling and educational administration. He has more than 30 years experience in both direct services and administration in the public and private sectors and regularly consults with governmental and non profit agencies in the areas of: public/private partnerships, entrepreneurial pursuits, networking community resources and program innovation. He is a frequent presenter at national, regional, and state conferences and an active member of various professional and community organizations. Bill has held many leadership positions, including 6 years on the Board of Trustees of CARF, the Accreditation Commission and as a member of CARF’s International Advisory Board.
A native of New Jersey, Bill has resided in Florida for more than 30 years. In his role as a parent, he is also an advocate. His son, David, has a very significant disability and has been accessing services for almost 4 decades.
