Henry Wong
North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT)

Dr. Henry Wong is a Senior Fellow with the NC Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT).  Over the past 14 years at NCCAT, he has designed a variety of renewal and professional development programs for teachers.  He obtained a Doctorate in Rehabilitation from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from East Carolina University.  He holds certification as a Rehabilitation counselor, Wilderness first responder, and as a Critical Friends Group Coach facilitating communication processes for teachers and improving their teaching practices.

He has over 25 years work experience in rehabilitation, teaching, and professional development as a correctional officer, rehabilitation counselor, vocational consultant, and RCEP-V program manager.  He is a former Assistant Professor in the School of Allied Health at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with numerous publications and grants.  Dr. Wong is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor for East Carolina University in Greenville, NC and an Adjunct Professor at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA where he provides distance-learning courses in rehabilitation to graduate students.

Dr. Wong is President and CEO of Quality Rehabilitation Consultants, Inc. providing professional development, organization development, vocational assessment, and research in the field of rehabilitation. He is a member in good standing with the Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas (FORBS).
